| Star gazing : Saturday evening 1 Dec at 8:30PM in an open ground near Yediyur lake. (Session starts at Jayanagar at 7:30 to give the background of the subject.) We have invited an expert in the field of Astronomy (Mr.Chandrashekhar, Amateur astronomer) to accompany us to show the various objects in the sky using his high powered telescope. Chandrashekar is an amateur astronomer and into this wonderful hobby for close to three decades now. He loves to participate in activities related to popularizing astronomy including telescope making – and using them. He also tries his hand at astrophotography. He regularly takes part in astronomy meets across the state where he speaks to participants as well as conduct sky watching sessions. He is also a frequent guest speaker in activities conducted by the Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium in Bangalore |
